Pray with us

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!” (Ps 34:8)

Girl praying

Please join us in prayer for:

Office Manager Opening: After 14 years of faithful service, our Office Manager, Shelley Benefiel, is transitioning away from New Song. Lisa and I are very sad to see her go, as she is a dear friend and has been an integral part of everything that has been accomplished here over the years. Shelley’s hands have been involved in nearly every facet of the ministry, and the Lord has used her in a very special way to advance New Song. She and her husband Jason will remain good friends always. That said, we need to find a new Office Manager soon. It is a very important position for us. If you know of any candidates, please let them know of the opportunity. (To learn more about this position and the teaching position mentioned below, you can find Job Descriptions here.

Teacher Interviews and Candidates: We currently have two candidates for our teaching position, and one of these is current going through our interview process.

Summer Adventure Camp Director: We’d like to fill this important 6-week summer staffing position by the end of this year.

Additional Groundskeeping Help: We could still use another volunteer work team to take a mission trip to our campus before winter sets in.

Planning for the Future: Our board continues to discuss next steps for New Song, with a particular focus on building an Educational Center on campus.

End of the Year Support: More than half of our annual gifts are given between November 15 and December 31. Please pray for strong year-end giving.

Students: Once we secure a teacher, which we are trusting God for one to begin in January, we will be in a much better position to enroll additional students. We currently have five students on campus, 3 boys and 2 girls. We are so thankful to be caring for them! We see much progress in their lives—socially, emotionally, and academically, as well as a desire to learn more about the Lord. Please keep Lilli (14), Nasia (12), Keshawn (11), Tavion (10), and Jaylen (7) in your prayers. Please pray for their moms also—we’ve developed strong relationships with them, and we know they want the best for their kids!

Staff: We need the joy of the Lord to be our strength. We need to experience how He is an ever present help in times of trouble. We need to taste and see that He is good. We need to lift our eyes to the mountains and get our help from the Lord. We need to abide in Christ Jesus as the branch abides in the vine. We must not grow weary of doing good.

The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, because he trusts in You. (Isaiah 23:6)
