Thank You to our Volunteers!
New Song Mission has been blessed with a number of work teams serving on our 100-acre Brown County campus this spring and summer. We’re so very thankful for the teams’ service as we continue to prepare our campus for children!
Volunteers are integral to our ministry. As a not-for-profit ministry solely funded through the generosity of those who care about kids in need, it is only through people sacrificing their time and energy that we can steward God’s campus.
Our houseparent dads, Logan Stoner and Andy Beck, and our campus director, Kyle Augsburger, have steadily worked alongside of the campus work teams this spring and summer. They’ve thoroughly enjoyed talking to the volunteers and getting to know the groups that have come out to campus.
“It has been such a blessing to work alongside all of the volunteer teams that have sacrificed their time and energy to work with us out here on campus,” said house dad Andy Beck. “Work teams are SO valuable to New Song for the regular maintenance and upkeep of the campus and the important help they provide with special projects. Those who come seem blessed to be volunteering on campus, as many of the missions trip members have expressed an awe of what God has built for kids at New Song and, for some, their time on campus seems to have resulted in a deepened faith in the Lord.”
Those serving on campus so far this year include teams from Emmanuel Church of Greenwood, Hands of Hope Ministry in Noblesville, Arlington UMC of Bloomington, Clear Creek Church in Bloomington, Garden City Church of Columbus, Cummins Engine, and small groups led by Daniel Moore from College Park Church, Indianapolis, and Chuck and Lori Goode of Community Church of Columbus (serving this weekend.)
Not only have each of these teams brought strength and “people power,” but also much-needed encouragement to our staff. “There is a joining of hearts when missionary work teams volunteer on campus,” shared Kyle. “We’re blessed through their service, and they’re blessed to serve.”
“We thoroughly enjoyed our time at New Song,” shared Linda McAllen, who 
recently served at New Song along with her husband Mike and members of their small group from Emmanuel Church of Greenwood. “We got to meet the house parents of Home B (Andy and Heather Beck) and see their completed house that we had the privilege to work on while it was being constructed. It’s an awesome home. What a beautiful and peaceful setting God has provided for kids in need! We had a relaxing time enjoying the beauty that surrounded us, while trimming bushes, pulling weeds, moving stones, and cutting down some trees. What a blessing it is to serve God at New Song!”
