Generous Hearts, Willing Hands

Throughout this summer, New Song has been blessed by the faithful service of two volunteers from Kingdom Missions Collective (KMC), a ministry based in Johnson County that connects volunteers with opportunities to serve ministries like New Song. While these two gentlemen have requested to remain anonymous, their impact on our campus has been impossible to miss.

Since first arriving in June, they have traveled to New Song 6-8 times, faithfully returning to tackle projects that have strengthened and improved our campus. Their skills in carpentry, electrical work, and general construction have allowed them to complete jobs that otherwise would have remained on our growing to-do list.

Over the course of the summer, they have installed lattice beneath the gazebo, built a roof over our firewood storage to keep it dry, secured loose spindles and the banister hand railing at Hope House, repaired and reinforced the storage shed, and have committed to building a brand-new dock at the lake before the summer comes to an end.

Their generosity has extended far beyond their labor. Along the way, they have also purchased and donated numerous tools and supplies for New Song, including a pole chainsaw, hedge trimmer, toolbox, and other equipment that will continue serving our staff long after these projects are complete.

When asked about their service, the men simply shared, “We’d rather not receive any recognition. We’re just thankful the Lord has allowed us to be a part of what He is doing at New Song and other ministries.”

That humble attitude has been an encouragement to everyone on campus.

“These two men have been an extraordinary help to New Song,” said New Song’s Director, Bob Schloss. “They have faithfully shown up all summer, working on various projects that we simply don’t have the time, expertise, or financial resources to complete ourselves. It truly has been a blessing from the Lord to have men with unique skills and abilities in carpentry, electrical work, and other handyman projects come alongside us.”

Every completed project represents more than improved facilities; it represents God’s faithful provision through people willing to serve wherever He leads. Through the work of Kingdom Missions Collective, volunteers are equipped and connected with ministries that need an extra set of hands, allowing organizations like New Song to benefit from the skills, generosity, and servant-hearted spirit of believers eager to advance God’s Kingdom.

Although these men prefer to stay out of the spotlight, we are deeply grateful for the countless hours they have invested in New Song. Their willingness to serve quietly reminds us that some of God’s greatest work is accomplished by those who seek His glory rather than their own.

We thank the Lord for bringing these faithful servants through Kingdom Missions Collective and for allowing us to witness His provision through their generous hearts and willing hands.
