An Urgent Request

An Urgent Request

New Song is at a crossroads. This year our ministry cared for, educated, and discipled nine full-time, residential students in Jesus’ name, and already there are 10 students ready to enroll or re-enroll this fall.

Please think about this–10 students are already lined up to come and live on our camps this fall, and that’s before we host nearly 50 vulnerable children in our camps this summer. On average, 25-30% of our summer campers want to enroll at New Song after attending a summer camp.

So in all likelihood, by this August we will have the potential to enroll 10-15 disadvantaged boys and girls for the school year!

Or possibly, we will be unable to care for any children at all.

You see, we have no houseparents.

Our Director, Bob Schloss, served as a house dad to four boys the entire 9-month school year last year (his wife Lisa worked 50 hours a week overseeing our school and other programs and was unable to join him in the home), but Bob is no longer going to be able to serve in a houseparent capacity this coming school year.

In addition, our other houseparents–who are an awesome couple and served so well–have determined that houseparenting isn’t the calling God has on their lives for the next school year.

We need your help to reach out to your church and network of friends to help us find as many as three excellent houseparent couples.

Many of the 10-15 kids who could enroll in August are returning students. [You can see the joy they had during the last school year by viewing our New Song Leadership Academy 2024-25 Slideshow and by reading these recent news updates.]
