2025 Summer Adventure Camp Roundup!
Summer camps have become a mainstay of the New Song children’s campus. The camps, called Summer Adventure Camps, are open to any kids who have the potential to be full-time school year residents with us.
“The camps are for disadvantaged K-8 grade boys and girls,” stated Bob Schloss, New Song’s Director and summer camp House Dad for boys the last two years. “We love utilizing the campus to give kids a week of activities and the chance to enjoy the natural setting we have here in beautiful Brown County.”
The camps originated through a partnership with an amazing ministry called Family Hope in Indianapolis (www.FamilyHope.info). That partnership has continued to become stronger over the last six years since the camps began in the summer of 2020.

“I have always been so grateful for this partnership with New Song,” said Family Hope’s Founder and Director, Lanna Blanchard. “It’s such a summer highlight for our families! It takes a lot of collaboration and wrap around between New Song and Family Hope to get the kids to camp, and the fact that you make such a high quality, life-giving camp so affordable is very helpful to our single parent moms. Giving the moms the opportunity to send their kids to a summer camp helps them feel really empowered to help their kids. Thank you New Song team!”
New Song has four camps each summer which are nonstop excitement for the 10-14 kids who attend each camp. Most of the activities are held on campus, but one day each camp week there is an exciting trip off campus outing.
This year the outing was to Old Mill Canoe in southern Indiana. The groups of 10-14 kids navigated kayaks and canoes down the Blue River, and one of the trips ended up being a 9-miler! The kids were real troopers.

“We’re so thankful we have the campus to give kids a summer camp experience,” shared Bob. “It’s a little more like ‘glamping’ though since they do get to stay in pretty nice homes for the week! We praise God for how He opened up the summer camps at New Song, which serve as a springboard for many campers into our full-time school year ministry.”
“I really enjoy hearing the campers share their knowledge of the Bible during devotions,” said Bea Hoffman, New Song’s Social Worker and Tutor. “The joy you get to see the kids have at summer camp is so encouraging!”
So far, we’ve had more than 200 campers at New Song, and we can’t wait for the 2026 camps to begin!
