Inspired By KK

At age 5, KK is by far the youngest student on the New Song campus this school year, but her outgoing, bubbly personality helps her fit in great with the “big kids.”
“KK has always been a child with a bright personality that lights up every room she enters,” says her mom, Jazmin. “She has a natural sparkle that draws people in.”
And her hugs are extra special! “KK is really outgoing, and we can never get enough hugs from her,” shared New Song’s Director, Bob Schloss.
“And she loves to tease me about me eating Takis!”
KK’s two siblings, DeMaria (8), and Amiri (11), are also enrolled at New Song, which gives KK the comfort she needs, being a younger child.
“KK loves playing everything!” said Abby Lawrence, KK’s House Mom. “She has played almost every game in the house, and last night during kickball her little legs couldn’t quite get her to the base fast enough, but she tried her best, just like she does at everything!”
As a first grader, KK does very well with our personalized educational experience
we provide students. “KK is thriving in the classroom, and she especially loves the hands-on activities we incorporate into her subjects such as the use of crayons, scissors, paper, and manipulatives,” commented Associate Director, Lisa Schloss.
“KK is incredibly smart for her age,” shared Jazmin. “She is always eager to learn, ask questions, and wants to explore the world around her. What I love about New Song is that KK is receiving a very supportive and creative environment where she has the freedom to express herself and grow. I’m also very thankful to hear KK tell me how much she loves game nights at New Song. She often talks about all the fun she’s having learning new games and discovering new things, which makes me glad.”
Our entire New Song staff team is so thankful to have KK on campus this year! Her energy and vitality truly inspire us!
