Robert P. Schloss, J.D.
Board President

As Executive Director of New Song and President of the Board, Bob serves the ministry with 18 years of
professional experiences as lawyer, prosecutor, juvenile probation officer, and ministry administrator. On a
personal level, as parent together with his wife Lisa, Bob’s commitment to children is at
the core of his life. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Indiana University and a graduate of the Indiana University
School of Law, Bob is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association and the Indianapolis Bar Association. Bob

Lisa A. Schloss, M.S.W., L.C.S.W.
Vice-President, Secretary

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Lisa’s professional experiences as a private therapist, school social
worker and director of a small community ministry have well-prepared her to serve in the capacity of Vice
President of the New Song Board and Associate Director of the ministry. As a home educator of four active boys,
Lisa has developed a great understanding of the role of teacher. Lisa’s heart for children, combined with her
spiritual vitality and reasoned intellect, make her a wonderful resource on the Board.

Nathan M. Peterman,
Treasurer

A Client Executive with Hylant Group in Bloomington, Nate has served as the Treasurer of the Board from the inception of the ministry. A graduate of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, Nate spent several years in banking and investing before transitioning to the field of commercial insurance and risk management. Nate and Jennifer reside in Bloomington where they are members of Evangelical Community Church.

P. Herbert Simpson, II

As the owner of Simpson Distribution Company, Herb’s deep knowledge of business development principals
provides a steady hand as the board contemplates strategies in moving the ministry forward. His ability to
network in the Indianapolis area, combined with his deep spiritual walk, add a seasoned maturity to the board
that has proven invaluable. Herb and his wife Debby attend Eagle Creek Grace Brethren Church of Indianapolis.

Jerry Day, Jr.

Pastor Jerry Day, Jr. was born and raised in Columbus, Indiana. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Greek
and Hebrew from Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee, and a Master of Theology degree from Dallas
Theological Seminary. He served for two years in Europe with Word of Life Fellowship, a youth organization
headquartered in New York. He has been senior pastor at the Berean Bible Church in Columbus, Indiana, for
15 years. He is married and has three children.

Thomas Fansler Jr.

As President and Chairman of the Board of Smock Fansler Corporation, Tom comes to the New Song Board with more than 30 years of construction and management experience. Smock-Fanser is a commercial construction company with nearly 100 employees and in general contracting, engineering, and construction management. Tom and his wife, Nancy, live in Indianapolis.
