New Song Mission - Rescuing Children. Providing Families.

When considering the purchase of real estate, buyers are often reminded to consider “location, location, location”. When reflecting on the site development at New Song Mission, it is “participation, participation, participation” that founder Bob Schloss credits for the progress that has been made in Brown County.

More than 200 people since the end of September have come forward from several churches and businesses to help pour concrete, hammer nails, and saw wood to frame up the three phase one homes on the New Song Campus. Home Site A was framed by workers from Bluffton in seven days time! Home Sites B and C are not that far behind and should be enclosed by Christmas.

These skilled and unskilled laborers are acting as the hands and feet of Jesus in the construction of new homes for violently abused and dangerously neglected kids. “God is working through all of these folks,” Schloss said, noting that “Sacrificial giving will ensure that all three homes are completed by summer so we can begin caring for kids.”

The majority of people that come to help at New Song have some degree of construction skills. Carpenters, roofers, and electricians have “come out of the woodwork” to offer not only their time but their expertise to ensure that the campus is being built professionally. “We have a responsibility to care for modern day orphans,” said Schloss. The church and others who love children are responding in a phenomenal ways to create a safe place where children can call “home”.
