How grateful we are to each and every one of our volunteers for their OUTSTANDING help with the New Song Groundbreaking Celebration and Public Campaign Launch! God certainly went BEYOND OUR EXPECTATIONS both in numbers of volunteers and numbers of guests, and we COULD NOT HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT these special volunteers! We thought you might be interested in a few highlights from the day:
- Over 75 volunteers gave all or part of their day to make the celebration a special one!
- Craig Ulerich and his faithful parking attendants parked over 130 vehicles in a safe and orderly manner! Kudos to you!
- Three hard-working, skilled and dedicated shuttle drivers drove for over 5 hours, shuttling over 300 people from the parking lot at Beck's Grove Church to the New Song property!
- Food volunteers served a couple hundred TC Memphis BBQ sandwiches, packaged over 400 lbs(!!!!) of carrots, pickles, and candy, made 100 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, mixed 100 gallons of water and lemonade, and served it all with a smile! By all reports, the food was DELICIOUS!
- Photographers snapped almost 1000 photos of the fun and our videographers captured the action live!(Be sure to check out our website for the album!)
- The Hasler family and crew gave over 60 pony rides!!! Whew! Thank you!!
- John Miller drove his tractor and wagon for at least 6 beautiful tours of the property! FANTASTIC!
- The children's games were also a HUGE HIT! THANKS to those who manned and organized the face painting, monkey shoot, corn hole, frisbee throw, bouncy blow-up and paint ball!
- To Matt Carothers for lending his Master of Ceremonies talents to the Celebration! Wonderfully done!
- Special thanks as well to our First Aid Personnel, Ben and Dean. We are so thankful you were there, and thankful we didn't have to call on your services for more than a band-aid!:)
- Thanks also to the talented band, Two Highways! Their bluegrass music lent the perfect atmosphere to the day and we are thankful for their talent and generous hearts! What a wonderful story of God's provision!
- To Mark, Dan, Chasity and all the special folks at Columbus Signs for their BEAUTIFUL banners--they added the perfect touch to the homesites!
- To all of those who SET UP chairs and tables, mowed and weeded grass, cleared debris, constructed frames, cleaned toilets, removed trash, greeted guests and COUNTLESS other responsibilties, WE EXTEND OUR SINCERE THANKS!
- Finally, "...to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us," (Eph 3:20) we give THANKS!
