Robert P. Schloss, J.D.
Founder and Executive Director
As Executive Director of New Song, Bob serves the ministry with 20 years of professional experiences as lawyer, deputy prosecuting attorney, juvenile probation officer, and a senior staff member of a residential children's campus in northern Indiana. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Indiana University and a graduate of the Indiana University School of Law, Bob is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association. While serving as a deputy prosecuting attorney in Whitley County, Indiana, Bob was a part of the county's Child Protection Team. On a personal level, Bob grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana and began dating his wife, Lisa, while in high school. The two have been married 24 years, have fostered six children, and they have four wonderful sons. Bob and his wife Lisa's commitment to children is at the core of their lives. Bob and his family live in Columbus, Indiana, where they attend The Ridge church. Bob enjoys personal family time with his wife and boys, fishing, hiking, coaching summer baseball teams, playing music, and church activities, while seeking to walk with a strong Christian faith.
P. Herbert Simpson, II
Board President
As the owner of Simpson Distribution Company, Herb’s deep knowledge of business development principals provides a steady hand as the board contemplates strategies in moving the ministry forward. His ability to network in the Indianapolis area, combined with his deep spiritual walk, add a seasoned maturity to the board that has proven invaluable. Herb and his wife Debby attend Eagle Creek Grace Brethren Church of Indianapolis.
Jerry Day, Jr.
Pastor Jerry Day, Jr. was born and raised in Columbus, Indiana. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Greek and Hebrew from Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee, and a Master of Theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary. He served for two years in Europe with Word of Life Fellowship, a youth organization headquartered in New York. He has been senior pastor at the The Ridge in Columbus, Indiana, for 15 years. He is married and has three children.
Thomas Fansler Jr.
As President and Chairman of the Board of Smock Fansler Corporation, Tom comes to the New Song Board with more than 30 years of construction and management experience. Smock-Fanser is a commercial construction company with nearly 100 employees and in general contracting, engineering, and construction management. Tom and his wife, Nancy, live in Indianapolis.
Dan W. Gluesenkamp
Dan and Debra, his wife of 27 years, have owned and managed Designscape Horticultural Services, Inc., a full service Design/Build landscape firm and nursery in Nashville for the last 24 years. He was an elder of his home church, New Life Community Church, also in Nashville, from 2002-2008. He grew up in the Southport area of Indianapolis, went to Ball State University, and has 3 children, Gabriel, Rachel, and Isaac.
Steven J. Hunnicutt
Steve serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Elwood Staffing where his primary areas of responsibility include overseeing financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, and tax functions. Steve also serves as Treasurer for Terrace Lake Community Church. Steve has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Ball State University. Originally from Huntington, IN, Steve moved to Columbus, IN in 1995 with his wife, Lori, and has three daughters: Morgan, Lauren and Lindsey. In his free time, he enjoys music, reading and outdoor activities.
